Ellington
Ellington Properties is a privately held Dubai developer founded in 2014 and registered with the Dubai Land Department as developer no. 1117. It is led by chief executive Elie Naaman, with Joseph Thomas as chairman. It is known for design-led residential buildings where architecture, interiors and amenity space are the main selling point rather than scale, with a portfolio of around 67 projects of which about 18 are complete.
What Ellington builds
Boutique and mid-rise apartment buildings plus a smaller number of villas and beachfront homes, in the upper-mid to luxury bracket. Core locations are Jumeirah Village Circle, Mohammed Bin Rashid City, Dubai Hills Estate, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai and Sobha Hartland, with higher-priced work on Palm Jumeirah, at Dubai Islands and on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah.
Ellington has been handing over buildings since the late 2010s, starting in Jumeirah Village Circle with the Belgravia series. Its first Downtown Dubai project, DT1, was handed over in January 2021 and was its fifth completed residential development; more recent completions include Berkeley Place in MBR City, Eaton Place in JVC, and Ellington House I and II, its first development in Dubai Hills Estate. That gives it close to a decade of delivered buildings. As with any off-plan purchase, confirm the handover date in the SPA for the specific project rather than assuming the programme-wide schedule.
